Room for One More

The maggots feast
And the worms dance
Such an empty space
To fill with rot.
The sour taste of a life
Fulfilled turns them away
Disgusted by the thought
Of happiness.
To the next unholy victim
The vacancy sign bright
The shell opens its arms wide
Welcoming the company
Open for business
But business is down
And even the perverse maggots
Keep looking for a five star stop
all at a one star price
