A Wedding Made In Franchise Heaven!

I didn't even know they were dating! I don't know much about either actor outside of their movies, but Campbell-Bower seems like a great guy. Before New Moon had been released, he had gotten into some trouble for giving out "spoilers" which actually turned out to be him joking around with the press. I mean, whoever honestly believed that everyone behind the franchise would allow a complete nude scene of the Volturi is pretty darn gullible. But at least he's having fun, and that's why I like him.

Plus, Wright has ridiculously amazing hair. I'm so jealous of her color.

So, like many people in the world, I've been addicted to Twilight and I'm definitely on edge to see the latest film. I think that the movies get better and better, but I also feel like there a ton of room to grow. I was really disappointed with the first film, but the second was more at the level that I thought it would be. The third film, directed by David Slade who is known for horror films, seems to be in good hands. Can't wait!

Camp Rock Goes On Tour!

I still don't know how I feel about this. Don't get me wrong, I love me some JoBros, but I can't stand Demi, and I don't really want to see the rest of the people from Camp Rock. Plus, living in Arizona, being outside at an ampitheatre does NOT sound fun. But who knows...perhaps I'll go.

I am ridiculously excited for this film. I'm not the biggest fan of Vanessa Hudgens, but have you seen the newcomer, Alex Pettyfer!? He's gorgeous!

Update!
Tuesday, April 20, 2010 10:27 AM
So I have updated the Pictures and Music section. In Pictures, I've changed the slideshow so it shows my added favorites as well as my own pictures. In the Music section, I've updated a new playlist with the following:

  1. Need You Now - Lady Antebellum
  2. New Morning - Alpha Rev
  3. Sometime Around Midnight - The Airborne Toxic Event
  4. Angels On The Moon - Thriving Ivory
  5. After Tonight - Justin Nozuka
  6. Candy - Paolo Nutini
  7. If I Ever Leave This World Alive - Flogging Molly
  8. Like A Star - Corinne Bailey Rae
  9. Into The Night - Santana ft. Chad Kroeger
  10. Hello - Glee Cast ft. Jonathan Groff
Probably my top favorites on this list would be After Tonight and Hello. I absolutely loved Glee's cover of the song, and Jonathan Groff was a major plus. He and Lea Michele worked together in Spring Awakening, which I own the soundtrack to. I fell in love with his voice instantly...the fact that he's good-looking is just a plus. Although, the fact that he's gay is a minus. Boo.

Dream House
1:23 PM
I know this is random, but for my dream house I've always wanted driftwood flooring. I know in my heart, my dream house belongs on a beach and what better way to set the tone than with wood found on the shores? I like the brightness and cleanliness of driftwood, even though light wood tends to show dirt and dust more than darker woods. However, with bright floor-to-ceiling windows, a nice ocean breeze blowing through, bright white furniture with random ocean-inspired splashes of color, I think this type of flooring would bring it all together quite nicely. Imagine how Caribbean teals and peacock blues would stand out against this type of floor...incredible.

Movie of the Week: Date Night
12:36 PM

Last night I went to see Date Night, starring Tina Fey and Steve Carrell. I had been really looking forward to the movie, simply because I think these two actors were long overdue in a project together. I was definitely not disappointed.

I've had a pretty stressful week, so it was nice to relax and enjoy a film, and quite frankly laugh my butt off. Even though my friend Kristyna liked it "just okay," I personally thought it was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. There were moments of pure slapstick comedy, moments of oh-my-gosh-my-life-is-this-pathetic comedy, and moments of true honesty. This was a comedy, but there was some realism in it--at one point in the film, Phil and Claire Foster's friends are divorcing, because their marriage "was fine. We're just really good roommates." I have a feeling they aren't the only couple who feels this way.

Beyond that, there was an amazing supporting cast. Mark Whalberg as perpetually shirtless Holbrooke was amazing eye candy, Mila Kunis and James Franco as the trashy couple who's reservation was stolen by the Fosters were unbelivable. James Franco continually proves his range of acting in my opinion. Also, J.B. Smoove played a hilarious cabbie who literally got caught in the madness of the evening, and also stars in probably the funniest sequence in the whole film.

Definitely go see this film, especially after a long week. After all, laughter is the best medicine.

Exclusive: 'Glee' plotting major arc for Finn and... Terri!

Let's hope they keep it platonic. It works on shows like The O.C. but I don't know about Glee. Also, wasn't last night's episode amazing!? I thought it was a great way to bring back the show for the back nine, and I really like the two new Vocal Adrenaline characters, Jesse St. James and Shelby Corcoran (played by Jonathan Groff and Idina Menzel, respectively). Oh the drama!

Pride and Prejudice
Sunday, April 4, 2010 1:36 PM

You know how there are some of those movies that, no matter how many times you've seen it, you have to stop and watch it if it's on TV? Joe Wright's Pride and Prejudice is definitely one of those movies for me. Not only is the story incredible (thanks Ms. Austen) but the cinematography for the film is unbelievable. I would absolutely love to work with Joe Wright some day, because the way he films a movie makes every shot look like a painting. He honestly shows that filmmaking is a legitimate form of art. Not only is the story beautiful, but so is the film itself. Wright's other works are Atonement and The Soloist. I have yet to see the latter, but Atonement is also another beautifully done film. To know that Pride and Prejudice was his directorial debut says a lot about his talent.
